Personal Statement
My name is Sarah Eisa. I am class of 2022 graduate from Cairo, Egypt. I’m looking forward to study biological science and play soccer at professional high level.
I have also been hated for almost my entire life because of who I’m today. However, I have never given up on my dreams to be become professional soccer player. I will keep on working so hard and pushing myself everyday to the limits, and not only athletically but academically as well. I grew up playing soccer with my brothers for 13 years due to KSA government rules (no women’s soccer team), and actually it contributed greatly to who I am today. My passion, love, and spirit for that sport keeps growing which is why I want to play in college soccer. Thus, it would give me the opportunity to further my soccer career by playing at a high level while studying at the university at the same time. This feature is not available in the Egypt at such a high level which is why I want to go to the USA.
Furthermore, I’m currently playing 1st division Egyptian Premier League. I got a tryout for Egyptian National Team but due to COVID-19 it has been cancelled. Last season, we earned 3rd place at 3rd Egyptian Premier League. Additionally, I think I’ll be a great addition to the team because of my fast speed, controlling, accurate passes, and one-on-one ability. I’ve been working on to improve myself in different fields such as private training sessions, fitness, and strength in addition to my team training sessions. It’s such a heavy load, but it’s worth the hard-working to achieve my dream.
Academically, maintaining a high marks requires timing, concentration and exertion. Nevertheless, I have always preserved high grades through academic years and have joined extracurricular activities as well. I have learned and understand the importance of balancing work with sports and am committed to be the best I can both on and off the field. I am a quick learner and able to adapt to players around me and welcome new challenges. Moreover , I’ve been detested through my whole life, but it has always given me inspiration, courage, and confidence and not contradictory.
Soccer had such a great impact on my personal physical and mental growth. It taught me the value of teamwork, the importance of friendship and helped me grow to be the person I’m today. With my support and assistance from my family, friends, and coaches, I’ll guarantee that I’ll achieve my dreams and never letting anyone down.
