Personal Statement
I am twenty years old and originally from England. I have been studying in Iowa for the past two and a half years and am looking to transfer for the fall of 2021. I have been trying to find the best fit, but it has been difficult due to Covid. I am delayed in my search due to this and some other circumstances.
Back home I played for London Bees, Oxford United Centre of Excellence, and Reading academy. I have had many successes throughout my time playing, such including;
- Two years as captain at Iowa Central (current).
- Beating the Welsh u17's national team whilst playing for an u15's academy side.
- Leading as top goal scorer on two separate occasions for the season.
- Scoring the winning goal in the semi-final of the FA youth cup against West Brom to take us through to the final.
- Making appearances for the county, leading to an appearance for the county representative team.
- Making break throughs into the ladies first teams for Oxford United and London Bees at the age of 16 and 17.
I believe my strengths of the game are my passing accuracy, my ability to use both feet, communication/leadership, and understanding of the game. I am an extremely determined individual and I wish to play at the best level, with ambitions of continuing to play once I have graduated, possibly professionally. I am looking for a competitive team that can challenge me, with a professional mindset.
My grades since being in the United States have maintained at A's and B's. I am a hard worker both on, and off the field and I consider myself to have quite a mature attitude towards soccer, academics, and life. I believe I can find the positives in most situations and have a positive energy that I carry around, keeping a smile on my face.
