Personal Statement
My name is Renata Da Rosa, I´m a 18 y/o uruguayan girl. My dream since I was 12 is to study in the US. I´m very passionate, I love soccer and I really enjoy sharing my knowledge with my team, and also learning from the teammates and coaches.
I´m constantly looking forward to new activities and courses to improve and enlarge my sports and leadership abilities. For example, I recently finished a 4 months Conmebol course about sports managment. Also, I travelled to Boston with the a embassy scholarship to a soccer and leadership camp, in which I learned a lot form different cultures and how to make a better world through sports. I would love to develop my ideas about how soccer can help people and women to their empowerment.
About my teams, I played in Club Náutico and, then I played in one of the biggest clubs of Urguuay, "Nacional", and now I transfer to Defensor so that I have more hardwork in matches. I played with U17 Uruguayan National Team and was rostered at the #2 goalkeeper in the South American tournament with the team. I also trained some months with the U20 National team this year.
At school, I have an excellent performance since I´m little, I have a good english level and one of my strenghts is the fellowship, the constancy and the hard work.
I´m a very ambitious person, and I won´t stop until I get to my dream University to play, study, learn, share my culture, and a lot more!! I graduate in December 2024 and can begin university anytime in 2025.
