Personal Statement
My name is Carla Rusagara, and I play as a forward/attacking midfielder. I am currently a senior, and my goal is to play collegiate soccer and eventually go professional. I have been passionate about soccer since I was three years old. This sport brings me immense joy and also serves as a therapeutic outlet during challenging times. Throughout my soccer journey, I've gained substantial experience, often playing with boys to push my limits and enhance my skills. For two years, I chose to join my school’s boys' soccer team instead of the girls' team, seeking greater competition and challenge. I was also honored with an invitation to try out for my national team, although I couldn’t participate due to scheduling conflicts with school. Soccer has instilled in me discipline, both on and off the pitch, and a relentless drive to improve daily. I am committed to giving my all and believe I can make a significant impact on any team.
