Personal Statement
Hello Coaches! Thank you so much for looking at my profile.
Currently, as a junior in high school in the Bahamas, my collegiate goal is to become a student-athlete and to be the first person in my entire family to graduate from a university and receive a bachelor's degree. I am confident that I can accomplish this as I put the "student" aspect ahead of the "athlete". I rank at the top of my graduating class and have been a principal's list student for six consecutive years; I take pride in my grades.
I also aspire to be a part of a collegiate level women's soccer team, one similar to the Bahamas U18 National Development Team and club that I am a part of now. I intend to continue playing soccer in college, take my game to another level and ultimately become the best player I can be.
Character-wise, I would say I am different from other recruits because I don't come from an advantageous life and as a result, I've learned how to capitalize on and appreciate all opportunities awarded to me. Diligent, goal-oriented, passionate, motivated, teachable, jovial, scholarly, humble and polite are just a few words I would use to describe myself.
Additionally, I am a team player and I understand that it is important to take responsibility for the success of your team. I have the drive to work, I know the game and I want to succeed. I think this is what sets me apart as an individual and as a player.
Thank you again for considering me!
