Rhys Leibel '25 Recruiting Profile

I've been playing football my whole life, I grew up in Canada and then moved internationally so I've played in very diverse and different games and styles. I think one of my best attributes is my mindset and work ethic, I've started to realize at a certain stage that is how you can achieve another level of soccer. I also play volleyball and basketball in addition to soccer for school and I feel like this has helped me with my overall game knowledge and I'm able to transfer over important skills from those sports into soccer. I've been the Varsity captain of my soccer team since 9th grade and this has helped me with leadership skills. In addition, I also make sure to maintain top grades as well academics are also very important to me. During a soccer camp I joined in the summer at UBC, I realized how I wanted to continue to play football outside of high school and how much it meant to me. This has led me to a new mindset to push myself harder because of everything I want to achieve.
