Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Tarni Nicol. I am a 2025 graduate and I have just finalised year 12 of high school at Rowville Sports Academy. I am born and raised in the city of Melbourne in Australia where I have been playing soccer for 6 years; 2 years at Casey Comets (Under12-14's), 3 years at Southern United (Under14-17's), and 1 season at Bentleigh Greens (Under20's).
Over the past two years, I have participated in two prestigious training programs under the W-league Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City teams, where I am training, gaining experience and learning with professional coaches at a high level of intensity. As well as that, I also am committed to club training in the National Premier League (NPL) in which I have gained immense experience in this league for the past 4 years. At RSA, I was coached by Melissa Maizels who is one of the women's coaches at Melbourne Victory.
I aspire to play soccer at a college I love where I can grow, learn, and continue my soccer journey. My strengths in soccer include communication, passing accuracy, shutting down opposition, and making passing options/ runs. I have been described as very coachable and always willing to take on corrections that will make me the best player I can be. I am an extremely encouraging and passionate as I care about my team and working with other players. Since I was 11 years old I've wanted to play soccer at a professional level where I can bring my skills and love for soccer to a team.
