My name is Katia and I live in Sydney, Australia. I am 17 years old and currently play for Northern Tigers FC's Senior Women's squad in NSW NPL1, the most competitive league in NSW and one of the most competitive leagues in Australia. Although I am a centre-back, I can be deployed anywhere in the backline. I am a coachable and vocal player who can read the game well, distribute both on the ground or in the air, and shut down opposition attackers.
This season, I have been playing for First Grade Women’s, which is a semi-professional all-age team. Before this, I was part of a national pathway program called Football NSW Institute (2021-2023) and also competed in, and won the 2022 Australian National Age Championships. I participated also in a Youth National Elite ID Game. In 2024, I was part of another national pathway and talent ID program run by Football NSW, which I was reinvited to join throughout the year.
Alongside my soccer commitments, I am also a dedicated and conscientious student who prides herself on her academic achievements and love of learning. I am an academic scholar at my school, and regularly receive top marks, including ones from international courses, such as the World Literature IGCSE and the Sociology IGCSE. My preferred field of study is history, law, or social sciences, and I am aspiring to attend a highly competitive Division 1 college that facilitates my love of these areas and challenges me to develop as a player, so that I can play professionally.
