My name is Katia and I live in Sydney, Australia. I am 16 years old and currently play for Northern Tigers FC's Senior Women's squad in NSW NPL1, the most competitive league in NSW and one of the most competitive leagues in Australia. I am currently deployed as a left wingback in a 3-5-2 formation, but I am naturally a centre-back. I am an intelligent, coachable and composed player who can read the game well, distribute both on the ground or in the air, take players on with pace, and shut down opposition attackers. Not only this, but I am able to communicate my understanding and football intelligence on the field to my other team-mates to organise the team's attack and defence. In April and October 2024 I was invited in to a Talent ID camp, as well as a 6 week long Talent ID program, which I have been reinvited to join twice.
I am also a dedicated and conscientious student who prides herself on her academic achievements and her love of learning. I am an academic scholar at my school, and regularly receive top marks, including ones from international courses, such as the World Literature IGCSE and the Sociology IGCSE. My preferred field of study is history, law, or social sciences, and I am aspiring to attend a highly competitive Division 1 college that facilitates my love of these areas and challenges me to develop as a player, so that I can play professionally.
