Personal Statement
Every person, every athlete has something that makes them unique. I am Sherry, a teenager that is not an expert in everything but keeps moving forward. Honestly, what makes me who I am are my positive and negative things, because I am not perfect, nobody is. The fears, mistakes, thoughts of giving up and many other things are part of me and I will not hide them. From the other side, I get good grades, I am determined, passionate, persistent, disciplined, friendly, a little crazy, but above all I try my best in everything I do. My goals are summarized in one thing; “get ahead in life with effort and a smile.” The reason for this is that I want to make my dad, my mom and myself happy and proud and most important honor God. Of course I want to go to college, study medicine and become a pediatrician, I will love to continue playing soccer, have a job and help others, but with those aspirations and goals in mind I just want to give my best in every little or big step I take because of every effort and sacrifice there is always a reward. Before I make this even more long, I will just say that I do not see myself as a “good candidate,” but as a member of a family that will help me grow or improve in my athletic and personal path. Finally, I will say to you thank you very much for your patience and God bless you.
