Personal Statement
My name is Ashleigh, I am now a senior at Bear Creek High School in Lakewood Colorado Graduating in 2023. I grew up in South Africa and played soccer since I was 4 On a team called Ajax Cape Town. I moved to the Netherlands in Europe at 11 and played soccer in different countries including Belgium France and Germany,and traveled all over the country with my school team to compete. At age 17 in summer of 2021 I moved to Denver Colorado, because of my moms job and I wanted to play college soccer and be a striker in the United States. I’ve played different types of football and styles. Although I’m still adjusting to the American style vs the european style. I have adjusted. I’ve learned many cultures. I’m a great team member always bringing positive energy. Although academics has always been a struggle for me. I’m open to being a student athlete focusing on both of those things wholeheartedly.
