Personal Statement
Hi! My names Ondine
I'm a sixteen-year-old International Student from Melbourne, Australia currently attending Year 11 at Caulfield Grammar School, and have been at this prestigious school since 2007. I will graduate in December 2021.
I have been playing soccer since the age of 7, and have been in love with it ever since. I have been playing at an elite level for a while now, competing in the league; WNPL (Women’s National Premier League) since it begun in 2015. Usually playing up an age group for a challenge. I currently play for NTC the (National Training Centre). Representing my state Victoria, Australia. My proffered position as a Right Winger, but also enjoy playing in the midfield. At my high school I am part of the ‘firsts squad’ for women’s soccer, the highest level team you can be in for the school. I have been in this team since year 7, a big accomplishment, am a starting player, and last year received ‘top goalscorer’ and ‘best and fairest’.
I have a very hard-working mindset, aiming to put my 100% into every single training session and game! I am a very self critical player, always looking to improve and willingly take on advice from coaches.
Positivity is also important to me, playing soccer makes me most happy and I love to bring this positivity into a team environment.
Although soccer is my life, I do have a life outside of it. Spending time with family and friends is very important to me and something I enjoy very much. I also love to run! School is something very important to me, as is painting good grades. I personally enjoy attending school and constantly learning.
I value dedication, positivity, humility and hard-working attitudes. I would love to bring these views and values to a college if given the opportunity. I have big goals and ambitions, attend a high level D1 college is one of them, and this is an opportunity I would make the absolute most of.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
