My name is Gia Baldiviezo and I am a Center Midfielder and Attacking Midfielder who carries a 4.0 in the Class of 2026. I am a FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE midfielder and I am proud to be a versatile player who can play wherever I am needed on the field. I’m excited for the opportunity to continue my soccer career on the collegiate level at a university that will challenge me academically.
Soccer is the ultimate team sport. It’s not about how good you are as an individual - if you don’t know how to be a great teammate, you won’t be successful.
I take pride in being a great teammate both on and off the field. I have been successful at making adjustments effectively whether it’s playing a different position on the field or playing on different rosters week to week.
As a proud member of the ODP team, I have been fortunate to play with some of the best athletes while competing against incredible athletes. It taught me to elevate my game and every day is an opportunity to push harder to develop into the best soccer player and teammate I can be.
My father is an immigrant from Bolivia who just became a citizen of the United States a few years ago. He has taught me from an early age that there is no replacement for hard work and sacrifice. That advice has helped me tremendously in the classroom and on the soccer field.
