Hello my name is Elizabeth. Soccer has been a central part of my life since I started playing at the age of five years. As a high schooler, while soccer has long been part of my family's culture, it is also a personal passion that I work hard to cultivate. As an individual, I love challenges and find success under pressure. I seek and thrive in competitive spaces and work to push myself to the limit. I am happy to play for the Cedar Valley Soccer Club and my High School Varsity team.
Going to soccer practice is one of the highlights of my week. During club season, I travel over an hour to train with my team, and while the time commitment can be hard on school nights, I think it's important to be present, especially to strengthen the bond between my teammates and coaches. I really enjoy practice because of the intensity that comes from both my 'soccer sisters' and coaches. As teammates we work together to keep the energy high and build the connections that help us win games on the pitch, and the relationship connections that bring us closer as a team. One of the best qualities an athlete can have is to be coachable and ready to learn. Each practice I make it my goal to learn a new skill, tactic, or mentality, with the aim of being more successful in matches, and becoming a better soccer player long-term. I make sure to focus on how I can produce the best results in my position- as a defender, and how I can be the best athlete off the pitch- improving my game-intelligence by watching professional matches.
Some of my best achievements in soccer have been winning CDL Premier Iowa's State Cup (2022/23) and the Presidents Cup (2021), both with Cedar Valley Soccer Academy, and going on to play on the Regional and National levels for club state tournaments.
