Julia Shoemaker '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Julia Shoemaker, class of 2024. I attend Eastern High school in Louisville, Kentucky. I love spending time with my family and friends and enjoy traveling and trying new things. I also like to get involved at my local church whenever I can. Everyone that knows me would definitely describe me as strong, goofy, passionate and easygoing .The game of soccer has taught and given me more than I could ever ask for. Since I was a little girl I had dreams to aspire to be playing at a high level and now I am making it a goal of mine. I left my other sports, cross country and softball to be all in with soccer because I knew that this was my sport. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

What I believe sets me apart from other soccer players is my coach ability, my dedication and self drive to become a better player. I train everyday at a sports facility here in my town to stay in shape and build strength. I am sure to be at every practice on time and ready to start. I am a leader on and off the field. Lots of my teammates know me for being a field general, seeing the game with good vision. I’m always there to back my team up, and I strive to be a good support system.  

I am a very organized person and I manage my time very well. I form good relationships with my teachers and have a strong work ethic and put 100% effort into all of my work.  I value my academic career as I hope to become a successful lawyer, work in criminal justice or business manager one day. I am ready to prepare and work for this new chapter in my life and excited to see where this world takes me.
