Emrie Leblanc '24 Recruiting Profile

I aim to reach the highest level of competition I can as a player. And when I get there, I want to be a player that can make an impact or be useful to my team. I am fully committed to being a better player in all aspects of my game: physical, mental, or tactical. For me, being a good team player includes my work off the field in the classroom and studying video footage to improve and/or prepare for games. 

I want to consider programs that can offer degrees that fit my areas of interest (science, medicine, law, engineering), and be competitive for both athletic and academic scholarships at these universities. I strongly believe that in any circumstance there are always opportunities to learn. For example, at my high school our program is quite new, and inexperienced, so introducing new people to play and love soccer is a different kind of goal than I have for my competition team. No matter the place, or time, there is work that can be done, and that work is what makes people who they are, this is the mentality that I bring to the field. I am returning from tearing my ACL. I have played two games and look to continue to build back up to the player I was and eventually become better than what I was. I am doing physical therapy once a week still and strength/speed/agility training three times a week. I am still trying to find my college fit and would love to find a program that can push me past my limits to make me a better player and person.
