Ashleigh Bariteau '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Ashleigh. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old and it has always been a passion of mine. When I started I was not a very strong player, I played maybe 10 minutes of the whole game when I was younger. I was driven to be the best I could be. I wanted to be one of the girls who could teach other girls new skills or be looked at as a strong player. With my mindset, I practiced and studied the game and put years of effort into my game. Now, I am a varsity starter that plays mostly the whole game. I enjoy the game and the time spent with the girls. I always say there is always room for improvement. I am always looking to improve my game and am up for a good challenge. I  love the game and learn something new day to day. I am a team player and not only love the game, but love my teammates as well. My current teammates call me the "momma bird" of our team because I always have advice, snacks, and pre-wrap, (or whatever they may need). I always make sure my girls feel like they can talk to me and that they can come to me on and off the field. Soccer isn't just a game for me, it's simply a way of life. Thank you for considering me.
