Thank you for your interest, however I have committed to Madonna University for the fall of 2024.
Hello, my name is Mackenzie “Kenzie” Paul. I’m a 2024 goal keeper. I am the Varsity goal keeper for Grandville High School. I also am the starting goal keeper for my Midwest United 04 White Premier club team. My recent highlight videos are available to view on my dashboard.
When I’m not in goal in club play, you will find me on the field, as I am versatile and willing to help my team where needed. I also feel it’s important for my goal keeper knowledge to play and understand field positions, as well to keep up on my foot skills. I’m a trusted pass back option when I’m in goal as a result.
When I’m in goal, I am a great communicator and leader. I am always talking! I am focused, aggressive, and not afraid to come off my line and be an extra defender. I’m also not afraid to ask questions and look for feedback from coaches to improve my game. I take my role as goal keeper and leader of my team very seriously, but I try to have fun at the same time. I love this sport! I also play futsal and basketball, so I train on and off the soccer field year round to keep up on my skills and speed.
I’m in my Junior year at Grandville High School, and I have returned as the Varsity starting goal keeper. I was the starting Varsity goal keeper last spring as a sophomore, in which I played in all minutes of all games. I led my team in 4 shut outs in a very tough D1 OK Red Conference. I was back up Varsity goal keeper as a Freshman, even helping to secure a win in a District game, where I played full minutes, as well as the starting JV goal keeper.
I carry a 3.81 GPA. I received the First Academic Honors Letter last year, and have taken 6 honors classes the past two years. I am currently enrolled in 2 AP classes and 2 honors classes for my Junior year. I am considering a career in criminology and/or psychology. I also have a passion for art, with multiple of my pieces being displayed in art shows recently in the community. I’m involved in missions work as well, with my most recent trip to Alaska this past June. I also hope to earn biliteracy in Spanish by my senior year.
I would love the opportunity to show you my soccer skills this year, as I’m on the search for a college team to be part of for the fall of 2024. I look forward to connecting with you sometime soon! Please reach out with any questions or prospect opportunities!
March 2022 profile information:
Hello, my name is Mackenzie Paul, and I am a 2024 goal keeper. I have just landed the full time keeper spot on the Varsity team for the 2022 season as a sophomore for Grandville High School, a Division 1 school in the tough OK Red. As a freshman, I played full time keeper on the JV team. I was even pulled up and played on the Varsity team for the first district game, and helped secure a win.. I had nine shut outs throughout my spring season. For the fall, I played up a year on the Midwest United, 04 Royal, P2 team. I have guest played on multiple teams, including the 04 Royal ECNL team. One of my strongest strengths as a goal keeper is my communication. I constantly talk during my games, and I’m not afraid to give or take feedback. I also will talk to my coach if I have questions. I like to play with my feet as well,. I always come off my line, whether I’m coming out for a pass back or clearing the ball. I am always on my toes, and I never give up no matter how bad the circumstances of my team or the game we are playing in. Whether my team is winning or losing, I am always putting 100% effort and attention into the game. I like to have a lot of fun when playing, but I still take the game seriously. I love this sport, and hope to play in college. I also carry a 3.93 GPA, and I am currently taking 3 Honors classes. Outside of soccer, I play high school basketball and club futsal.
