I am Claire Sampson, a current junior at Lansing Catholic High School in Lansing, MI. I play with Cap City's 2005 Girls Blue team, coached by Tara Leach and Dakota Curtis, and for my high school team, coached by Bill Pettit. I plan to study civil or environmental engineering during college. As a student, I work hard towards my academic goals by applying myself as best I can, no matter the obstacles I face. I am very social and work well with others, especially since I can take criticism well and apply it to future tasks. On the field, I am a versatile athlete who can adapt to different playing styles according to what the game demands from me and my teammates. Even though I am an aggressive player, I also enjoy creating strong bonds with my teammates that transfer to our play on the field. I plan to play soccer in college because, along with the countless relationships and memories it has brought me, I love the intensity of the game and the physical and mental strength it demands of me.
