Hello, My name is Korinne Ihrke. I am a 2024' graduate at Oxford Highschool with a 3.935 GPA. I play for Liverpool FC IA ECNL u18/19. My Club coach is Jimmy Stachura and my goalkeeper coach is Jake Nunner while my highschool coach is Gabby Shriver.
The opportunity to be a team captain, a leader and a MVP for games and tournaments has been the highlight of my past seasons. Being all of those things have shown me that I can make an impact on the teams I play for. Putting in countless hours of practice and effort has taught me that as a true team player, I have to be the best me so I can be the best for my team.
As important as soccer is to me, so are my academics. Being a good student means that I have to try my hardest in the classroom to comprehend what's going on around me. I try hard to be a mentor to others so they can understand concepts in and out of school. I am not only someone who tries to find the best me, but always looks to find the best in everyone and helps others to strive.
My biggest goal in life is to be the best me I can be. To me this means I will always take the best opportunities I can to continue to grow and go as far as my soccer career can last. I love soccer and I am very competitive which makes my goals more and more realistic when I put the work into them.
I haven’t always been MVP, team captain, or even a leader at all. I always think about the past and review what I have done and what I can continue to grow on. Additionally, I have to figure out, how can I be the best me? This makes me work harder everyday. By using this question I push myself to the limit and strive to my everyday goals.
With these challenges, mentally and physically, in the classroom, on the field, and everywhere else have made me the person I have become. I like to think I am a person who is mentally and physically strong as I have been through many hard times in my life. This makes me a better soccer player, friend, and person because I am able to look back and understand how I need to do better instead of sitting on a thought that is not helpful to my development. I always make changes and am constantly learning from my mistakes.
Ideally, I am looking for a school with an education program and a soccer program, which can help me grow. I am not looking for any preferred location, but a school that we can reach new goals together. I hope to make a positive impact on your team!
