Syerra Metzler '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Syerra Metzler and I am going to be a Senior at Portage Northern High School this coming school year. I play for the Varsity Soccer team and at Portage Lightning Soccer Club with the 2003 Premier team. I play Forward and Midfield, but I have experience at other positions. I am very strong with my right foot as well as my left foot. Because of this, I can play on either side of the field without an issue. I am very aggressive and never let anyone take the ball from me without a strong fight for it back. I very rarely ever walk during the games. I am always moving and making myself available and supporting my teammates on and off the field.

I am more than just an athlete though. I study and work really hard in the classroom. I have a 3.89 unweighted GPA and over a 4.0 weighted GPA. I take college level classes, such as AP, IB, and CTE classes, to challenge myself for college and maintain a strong GPA. As you can see, I am very focused on my academics and soccer. I am also in the National Honor Society. Overall, I am interested in applying for Soccer and Academics.
