Personal Statement

I am a 5' 9" Junior Goalkeeper from Rochester Hills, MI and I will graduate in 2013.  I attend Rochester High School and currently have a 3.52 GPA.  During my Junior Year I will be a Mentor to the incoming Freshman class.  As a Mentor I am responsible for assimilating new students into the school, provide them with school information and be their "peer" throughout the school year.

I am very determined individual that strives to be the best I can be.  I am not afraid of hard work and am committed to improving.  In addition to my club or high school sports, I work out twice a week at a local sports science gym to improve my strength, speed and agility.  During the summer, I attend a week-long residential Goalkeeper Camp.  The past three years I attended Star Goalkeeper Academy which is operated by Dan Gaspar in Simsbury CT, and this past summer I attended Dynasty Goalkeeping conducted by Tracy Noonan in Raleigh NC.

This past season I played for the Michgan Football Club coached by Kevin Garner.  In addition to playing for theMFC, I also am the Assistant Goalkeeper Coach for the under 11 club goalkeepers.  This past summer (2011) I also worked as a Goalkeeper Instructor at a local camp.

With regards to a specific location or campus size, I am extremely open to where I attend school.  The experience of living in a new environment and city is exciting.  Currently I am very interested in two professions.  The first is teaching, specifically middle school mathematics.  I enjoy helping kids to learn and discover their potential and teaching provides me with that opportunity.  The second profession I am interested in is Physical Therapy/Sports Science/Sports Medicine.  I love playing soccer and this profession will allow me to stay involved in some capacity after my playing days have ended.

I am interested in attending a school that will allow me to play at the highest competitive level possible.  I am also determined to make an impact earlier in my college career than later.  I am open to all levels of schools (D1-D3).  I prefer not to play at a junior college.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
