Savannah Joy Garcia '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi!  My name is Savannah Garcia.  I've played soccer since I was four years old.  I normally play defensive midfielder, although I have successfully played all positions throughout my career.  I'm from Saginaw, Michigan.  I am currently playing for the U20 Semi-Pro DCFC Academy of MI.  I have started on my varsity team since my freshman year for Nouvel Catholic Central High School.  I also play for my premier travel club the U18 Saginaw Hawks.  Something about me is I always give 110%, I'm a leader, and I am always looking to be pushed. 

My dad is a travel soccer coach.  From a young age, he had me work especially hard on my technical skills.  This paid off when I was invited three years in a row to a technical championship in Indiana.  From that championship, I was invited to play in Europe.  My control over the ball improved so much with footwork and passing in tight spaces.  

My personal dream is to play soccer at the collegiate level.  I am very dedicated, and I love always improving both my physical and mental boundaries.  In addition, I always put the extra work in, no matter the practice schedule.  From a young age I've always looked to get extra practice in on my own to get ahead.  I'm extremely excited to see where this journey takes me!  Thank you for viewing my profile!
