Sydney Leslie '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Sydney Leslie. I live in Saginaw Michigan and attend Nouvel Catholic Central High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old, and I started travel soccer when I was 9. I've played for dozens of coaches, and I've created a close bond with each and every one of them, which has not only developed my social skills, but my overall coachability. When I first started travel soccer for Nationals, I had no confidence and never wanted to be on the field. With some help from my current coach (who has been coaching me for the last 4 years) and my dad, I was able to become the player I am today. My neighbors can vouch for me when I say I'm always outside or at the gym with my soccer ball and cleats. As a junior I am constantly working to develop not only my athletic skills, but my academics. When I graduate, I want to attend college to not only further my knowledge and get a degree, but to play collegiate soccer. I want to work my hardest now so I can become the best in my field of work, and the best on the field. 

My competitive spirit takes control in everything I do, when I fail I get up and fix it. Sometimes I get frustrated, so when I practice the next day I work harder. When I was little I was always second pick, so now is my time to show up in everything I do, in and out of the classroom. I have positivity and motivation skills on the bench and the field. I am a three sport athlete with a 4.2 GPA, and I still manage to fit in over 40 hours of service per year in my community and school. Thank you for taking an interest in my profile.
