My name is Brenna Crawford and I will be a senior at Saline High School in Michigan. My current GPA is a 3.58/4.0. I am interested in the opportunity to play soccer in college while studying for a degree in education or psychology. I am very interested in Special Education programs. I hope to one day be a elementary school teacher. Through school, I am apart of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and Link Crew. I also volunteer for Magic of Christmas with the City of Ann Arbor and this winter I participated in the Polar Plunge, raising money for Special Olympics of Michigan.
I was the starting goal keeper on Saline Varsity as a sophomore. My team finished 2nd in the conference and I had 6 shutouts. At the end of the season I was voted All-District by the coaches and voted as the unsung hero for my team. I also received the scholar athlete award for maintaining above a 3.5 GPA during the season. Unfortunately, my junior year of varsity soccer was canceled due to COVID-19. For club soccer I play for Saline FC 03 Black. While my teams have not been able to play games and the team training has been limited, I've been doing goalie specific training with my club coach 1-2 times a week throughout the summer.
I am looking for a college or university that is the right fit for me academically and athletically. I bring a strong voice to any team I play on. I value team work and I am willing to do whatever is asked of me by my coaches.
Thank you for taking the time to read my statement and look at my profile.
