Soccer, as long as I remember, has always been a huge part of my life. Since I've been paying soccer since the age of four, I've always been in love with this sport. Anyone who's been playing a sport for this long would not be able to do anything but fall in love with it. Soccer has been my way to ease my mind and feel free. It's the feeling of scoring a goal, yelling across the field, the adrenaline of out running the girl next to me is an incredible feeling, one that can't really be described.
Like anyone else, there was a lot of self doubt, mostly due to outside forces. Due to me being small a lot of people don't see someone who is fast and can take a hit on occasion. That has been the largest obstetrical to overcome and it has taken a lot of practice, determination, hard coaches, and the support of my family behind me to become the soccer player i am now. I've learned a lot, not just soccer skills, but relying on others. There is no I in team and working with other people with the same goal as you makes everyone better.
