Anikka Shoholm '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Anikka Shoholm and I am a 5’3 Defensive midfielder from Apple Valley, Minnesota. I am going into my senior year at Eastview high school and ended my junior year with a 3.68 GPA. For the past three years, I have been playing for Wave Soccer Club (formerly Eagan Wave Soccer Club). My team currently plays in the TCSL at the national/regional level(C1 level). Some of the strengths I bring as a player and person include my leadership presence, work rate, and soccer sense. As a person, I do my best to push myself and my teammates to work hard and be positive on and off the field. Simultaneously, as a player I work hard to keep our team organized and our play structured. Being a defensive midfielder I often work hard to shield attacks from other teams and restart our attacks. I have been named captain three times while at WSC and was also selected a captain for 3 years at my previous club because of the way I lead by example and push myself and my teammates to succeed on and off the field.

I would like to attend a school that has a close-knit campus community and will provide me with a supportive academic and athletic environment. In addition, the soccer program would have a strong culture, a competitive environment, and players that are dedicated to being the best they can be.
