I want to be a starting member of a college soccer program at a school that meets my academic needs for my future professional goals. I'm self-starting and highly motivated, with a drive to be the best player I can be both as an individual and as a member of a team. I am a versatile player who can play many positions with a passion for the game, and I am genuinely switch footed. I'm a physical, aggressive player who doesn't shy away from contact. I started playing soccer when I was 10 years old and had absolute zero knowledge of the game. However, my competitive spirit is what separated me from other players. Even though I was at a disadvantage with my lack of experience, I never quit and wanted to strive to be the best by practicing several hours extra a week to be where I am today. Other players don't intimidate me and I never quit. I approach my school work with the same dedication I have with soccer. I give my work 120% of my effort and I try and deliver the best academic performance I can. I strive to be a leader on the field, driving my teammates and myself to be better, stronger and faster than our opponents. I believe the mentality of the players and the team drives the game as much as the physical abilities of the individuals and I strive always to be both mentally and physically tough. Soccer teaches dedication, teamwork, good decision making, respect, the value of hard work and rewards a competitive spirit. Those lessons have had a tremendous impact in my personal development and will continue to do so.
