My name is Camila Macias, I am an 10th grader at Prior Lake High School in Prior Lake, MN which is located in the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis, MN. My graduation year is 2027. Although I am 15 years old and a 2009 birth year, I currently play up on a 2008 U17 Girls Select team for Prior Lake Soccer Club under coach Kari Ornes. Our team competes in the NPL Super division within Twin Cities Soccer Leagues (TCSL) and although our club season is just getting started our previous year's standings can be found here: https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/18102/schedules?group=117521
I've been playing for the Prior Lake High School girls soccer program since I was in 8th grade and have been a leading scorer on each team.
In October 2022 I was nominated by my club coach to tryout for a Minnesota select team for Twin Cities Soccer League (TCSL). I made the 2009 TCSL REPS team. I was able to participate in the NPL Midwest select games in Schaumburg, IL in March of 2023. Our REPS team represented Minnesota and consisted of 16 girls from 7 different clubs from around the Twin Cities. We competed against teams from Illinois, Iowa and Ohio. We led the four teams that TCSL brought down to compete, with 2 wins and a draw. I scored in two of the matches and assisted in the other. It was a unique experience playing outside of my comfort zone with a different coach as well as other really talented players from around the metro area. In November of 2023, I was nominated and tried out again for the 2nd year of the TCSL REPS program. I made the squad and trained and played with other girls from all over the metro under coach Joseph DeMay in local matches as well as in a players showcase in Las Vegas Nevada in March 2024.

I think my greatest attributes as a player are my grit, speed, vision on the field, determination to improve and how I communicate with teammates. I am always striving to learn, grow, contribute and be better for the benefit of the team. Soccer is a integral part of who I am, and I would like to continue to compete at a high level while earing my bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
