My name is Kasey Canizaro and i’m from Southaven, Mississippi. I’m a 5’4” center back and also a defensive midfielder graduating in the class of 2023. I have started on the Desoto Central high School varsity team for 2 years, going on 3. I am also a starter for my club team Futsal Escola. I know that i can bring speed, aggressiveness, accuracy, quickness on and off the ball, and able to read players on and off the ball. Most importantly i can bring good leadership and a good attitude as i am captain for my club team, and have been for many seasons. I take soccer seriously and work hard on and off the field to better myself as a player.
I have been playing with my club team since 2014. Throughout all the seasons i feel as if the quality of “futsal” has gotten me ready for hard challenges you can face as a soccer player at a high level. Playing futsal has made me become confident with the ball at my feet and able to take players on. The ability to have to move quickly on and off the ball, and always give 100% helps me by bringing it out on the field. Because of how fast the game is played,Futsal has also improved my ability to be steps ahead of other people in the play, while also being able to read the other players as what they are going to do next. Also while playing futsal your passes have to be a solid accurate pass which carries out on to the field too.
Not only is soccer really important to me, but so are my grades. I push myself to have good grades throughout the whole school year. I am a very determined student in the classroom, and i will continue that as well in college. My intended major is law. I would love to go to a school that has a good law school and where i can make a good impact on and off the field.
