My name is Haley Nicholson. I am a 5' 6" Forward/Center-Attacking Mid-Fielder from Whitefish, Montana. I am currently a Senior at Whitefish High School where I maintain a 4.0 GPA and a member of the National Honor Society and have been selected Academic All-State (4.0) GPA in soccer, basketball, track and football for all seasons played.
As a Senior I am honored to be selected as a Captain of our Soccer Team for the second year in a row. Both my Junior and Sophomore year we finished the season as Class A Semifinalist. My freshman year we finished the season as Class A Runner-Up (2nd in State). We have a very strong team this year and are making a run for the State Championship.
I have been a varsity starter for all four years of my High School soccer career. My Junior year I finished the season with 31 goals and 11 assists leading the state in scoring and assists combining both regular season and playoffs and was selected for All-State. During the playoffs I scored 5 goals and 1 assist, 1 goal was in overtime. My Sophomore year I finished the season with 21 goals and 2 assists leading the state in scoring and assist combining both regular season and playoffs and was selected for All-State. My Freshman year I finished the season with 18 goals and 8 assists combining both regular season and playoffs finishing 5th in the state and selected 1st Team All Conference.
My soccer experience goes well beyond High School. I also guest play on two different Premier Traveling soccer teams made up of girls throughout the state of Montana. The most recent tournament I competed in was the Showcase of Champions in Seattle Washington in June where I had 3 goals and 1 assist and our Team had 3 wins and 1 loss. I have also played on the Olympic Development Program Team since I was fourteen and was selected to attend the Regional ODP Camp in California and the Regional ODP Pool Camp in Oregon. During the off season in the winter and spring I train and play with the Flathead Mens Rapid Soccer Team in order to continue developing my skills and find faster play.
In addition to playing varsity soccer I simultaneously act as the place kicker for our varsity football team. My Junior year our football team finished as the Class A State Champions (1st time in 36 years) and Conference Champions. As the place kicker I was selected 1st Team All Conference and Special Teams MVP. I successfully made 41 out of 45 extra points and two 33 yard field goals. In the State Championship game I kicked two extra points and one field goal resulting in a 17-13 State Championship victory. My Sophomore year our football team finished as Class A Semifinalist and Conference Champions. As the place kicker I was selected 1st Team All Conference where I made it into the state record books ranked 4th for consecutive extra point made (PAT's).
In addition to soccer and football I have also been a varsity starter in basketball and earned All-State honors as a Freshman in Track as part of the 4x4 relay team competing at our Class A State Championships where our team took 3rd in the State.
I am interested in schools where I can help them win National Championships and reach my goals in the pre-health field.
