2019-2020 Highlig...Personal Statement
Two things that best describe me are my drive and desire to always be better. Whether it is in the classroom or on the field, I am motivated by my belief that I can always be improving. My goals are to become a valuable member of a nationally competitive collegiate soccer team while at the same time earning a college degree (or two) that will allow me to help others once my competitive playing days are behind me (which I hope is long after college). What I want most is be a "coach's player:" the type of player that brings it at every practice and in every game, always making her teammates around her better, and being the quiet leader and example coaches appreciate in their players. I know college recruiting is about the individual, but what I think sets me apart is my passion to be the best teammate possible. I love to train and I strive to master the things my coaches teach me, and those things are firmly rooted in who I am. But more than anything, my best quality is who I am as a teammate and how more than anything, I want to make the players around me better.
As we get to know each other more, I will be happy to share how my family has shaped who I have become as a person and as a soccer player. My family means everything to me and I know I am who I am because of them.

- Founded in 2018, Select FC is an ‘04 Girls Showcase team. With the finest coaching staff and organizational structure, Select FC provides the best skills-based and tactical training available in Southern Nevada. Utilizing the Ginga Brazil method of soccer development, players learn to master each facet of the game.

- 5 years
- I train 4 times per week with my team. Each training session is 2 hours. I arrive 30 minutes early so I am prepared for the session and can get the most out of it. 3 team training sessions are on the field and 1 time per week we do Futsal training on an indoor basketball court. My coach, Everton, is a national champion Futsal player from Brazil and he has taught us just how valuable Futsal training is for success on the pitch.
- Speed, Agility and Explosiveness Training

- I train 2-3 times per week at Phase 1 Sports where my training focuses on conditioning, mechanics and explosiveness, among other things. My coach is Mike Waters.
- Midfield/Striker training

- I train privately with my coach three times per week on footwork, striking, passing, position and defense, among other areas.

- AwardsI received Student of the Year in 8th grade for math. I also received student of the month for citizenship 3 times in a row in middle school.
- ActivitiesCougars For Change. This club was a club to help students around campus feel accepted and to spread kindness. We did charity events and helped serve the homeless. We also donated to a local school, toys for kids for Christmas. The main goal of the club was to make everyone feel accepted and to help others make new friends. I loved being apart of the club.
