My name is Charlotte Bonney and I play for Albion 03/04 GA. I am 17 years old and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I started playing soccer at the age of five, and ever since I first stepped onto the field I knew that soccer was the sport I wanted to play my whole life. In the first few years of my soccer career I tried my hand at gymnastics in addition to soccer, but after the gymnastics season was over I knew that I would never have the same passion for anything but soccer. The older I got and the more I played, the more my appreciation grew for the game; as more time went on, I knew with more and more certainty that I wanted to work as hard as I possibly could to become the best player I can be.
I started my soccer career as a center back and played there for several years. However, as I got older and my skills developed my coach from my first team recognized that I would be more beneficial in an attacking position. I love playing in an attacking position, and having been a defender before helped me to be better at my own position because I knew how the people defending me were thinking, and I knew how to work against them best.
As I've gotten older I have been able to do more things on my own and being able to drive up to the park and work with a ball or go to the gym whenever I want has only made me love soccer more. Everything soccer has done for me and all the doors it has opened up to me have given me so much love for the sport. I truly don't know what I would do if I didn't have soccer in my life.
As a student I strive to be at the top of my class. I love to learn and accumulate new knowledge in every subject. I work hard to make sure that my work goes above and beyond the requirements presented, because I want to work to become an even better student than I am now. I strive to be well rounded in every subject and absorb everything I can from the lessons.
Overall, I am a determined person and I want to work hard in every aspect of my life. In both school and sports I strive to apply myself and learn as much as I can, as well as becoming better in what I am learning.
