Hannah Chaffin '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I am a 5’8", 135 lb forward who was the starting wingback for Heat 02/03 ECNL las spring and currently play outside mid and forward for Heat FC 04/03 ECNL Regional. Previously I was a striker/outside midfielder for Albion SC LV 04 GA/DA. I am very interested in studying interior design or visual arts and playing soccer at the highest level I can. I have a 5.1 (weighted) GPA, 3.9 CORE at Palo Verde HS in Las Vegas and scored a 30 on my ACT. 

Though I didn't start playing competitive soccer until U12, in 2018-19 I led my U15 team (LVSA 04 White) in goals (16) and assists (15) for 47 points in 48 games. We won the SCNPL 2019 league, came in 2nd in the state championships and were President’s Cup National Champs in 2018. For U16, I earned a spot on Albion's new 04 DA team. We were new to the DA and faced very challenging competition from Southern California. Yet out of our 8 run-of-play goals, I scored 1 and assisted on 3. That one goal was selected by Top Drawer Soccer for their Goal of the Year competition.  For 20-21, my Albion team joined the GA, where I led my team in chances created, accurate key passes and successful tackles before I moved to ECNL. I was the number 2 goal scorer as well. 

I train privately every week (3 times during the shutdown) to work on shooting and foot skills, as well as with my team. I work very hard. On the field, I use my size to win 50-50s and quickly transition from defense to offense. I use my good field of vision and soccer IQ to create chances and launch attacks. I can also score equally well with both feet.

Before I started playing club soccer, I was a competitive swimmer with Sandpipers of Las Vegas and was top 10 in the 100m butterfly at the Northern California Junior Olympics. I also studied piano for 8 years and received Superior ratings in solo and duet competitions. 

Off the field, I spend time with my friends and work hard at excelling in my IB diploma program at school.
