The many obstacles that I have encountered in my life, especially the bumpy roads, have been the key part to creating the character and the mentality that I needed in my embark to become the player I have become today. I have been able to come to the understanding of the fact that a sport is not only based on how fast you are and how much you enjoy the sport, but that it is based off of the awareness and success you have mentally and physically. When I first started playing soccer and basketball at a young age, I didn't truly know the values of a key player and the pressure I would face. But as I grew to be more accustomed to the sport and was able to get a good mindset, I was able to flourish mentally and physically to those obstacles. Due to this, I believe this will allow me to withstand future obstacles, allow me to better as an athlete and a student, and introduce me to more valuable skills near the future. My number one goal with the sport that I am in favor to and have played for quite some time, is to be able to go to a college where I am able to achieve the academic and athletic experience that I seek. I am in hope that even though I could not afford to play in a club/league soccer team in the past due to financial expenses of joining one, I believe that I am just as able to perform and mental and physical task that the sport throws at me on my journey.
