My sophomore high school season pushed me to work hard. I had worked hard doing the summer trainings and pushed myself through tryouts. I was put on Varsity which was a big achievement as I was a starting player on JV freshman year. That season, I was a starting varsity player and played majority of the time during games. I played defensive mid, which was a new position, but I was able to use my defensive and midfield knowledge to help me out.
At the end of my club spring season last year, I looked into joining Seacoast United Soccer Club. I went to an ID day to get some feedback on my skill level. I was invited back and was also invited to practice with the 05 Academy Team. After about a month, I was moved to the 05 DPL team and have continued to play here. This change allowed me to move from the NEP level to the DPL level. I absolutely love this team and I have seen improvement in my speed of play and my skills! I am so glad that I jumped onto the opportunity of switching clubs.
This past season (junior year) I made it on varsity again. I was a starter and played attacking midfield which I loved! My junior year high school soccer season has been my favorite so far. My team improved this year with a winning record! I have also seen improvement in my confidence of play and I was so blessed to have the team that I did.
Soccer is a big part of my life, and has been ever since I was about 4 or 5. My Dad has been a big part of my soccer career and has even coached some of the teams I have been on. He is always giving me advice and helping me improve my mental skills on the field. Recently, I have been working on gaining more physical strength to help improve myself on the field. I want to be the best I can be! I go to the gym with my friends and hope to consistently keep going.
One of my skills on the field, is that I have good field awareness. I try my best to think ahead and know what I am going to do with the ball before I receive it. I also have good foot skills that I am constantly working to improve upon. Playing futsal, for several winters, has helped me develop my foot skills.
