I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. Both of my older brothers played soccer too. We were all on school, travel and club teams traveling the entire east coast for games year-round. It's my dream to play soccer in college and win a conference championship with a group of girls that become my best friends for life.
I've been playing on highly competitive club teams since age 10. Currently I play for Morris Elite SC USL Academy Red U18 Girls. We finished 1st place in our spring 2023 Season in the EDP Central Atlantic Premier III U18G. We also won the USL Academy Cup tournament in Tampa Florida. The championship game was one of the most exciting games of my life. We finished regulation and OT tied 1-1. We won PK's 5-4. As CB I don't get many chances to take shots, but coach picked me to take one of our team PK's. I'm one of two starting CB's. We both play every minute of every game. It's a very fun team to play on. We're very good at building the ball out of backfield. We have a very good passing game with very good communication and high possession time. The level of competition is very high, almost all of our games are very close and exciting.
I've been a starting player on my high school varsity soccer team since freshman year. I was starting outside back freshman year and won first team all-conference. My sophomore year I was starting center back and won 2nd team all-conference and 3rd team all-county. Currently I'm in my junior season as starting center back and I was named team captain.
As a center back and a captain I'm a strong, positive communicator with my teammates. No matter how tough the game is I make sure my communication is positive. I talk with teammates constantly though whole game to make sure we're moving into position and focused on stopping every cross and every shot we can. I prioritize building the ball out of the back through good passing. I try to stop all attacking plays before they start with good positioning, bodying up, not allowing attackers to turn ball up field. Individually, my style and personality on the field is always cool, calm, and collected. Other players never affect my game. I'm very strong on the ball in 1 v 1 attacks, bodying up, shielding ball away from attacker without almost ever drawing a foul. I'm comfortable carrying the ball, looking up field and making accurate passes. And I show up to every practice and every game on time!
Off the field, I'm a good student. I have a 3.98 GPA with mostly honors classes, some AP. I really enjoy science the most so I want to find a college with a good science program, but I'm not sure what I want to be yet, I just know I want to do something in science. I'm very close with my family, both mom and dad and my brothers and my two cats and two dogs. I hope to find a college where I can get a degree in one of the science fields and play soccer for a great team, with an excellent coach and great teammates that I hope will be my best friends for life and hopefully one of those four years we win a conference championship or two.
