Ella Spina '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Ella Spina, I am currently a junior and will graduate in 2024! 

I am dedicated, passionate, and hardworking both on and off the field. I strive to put my best self forward at all times and I work hard to contribute to any team that I am a member of. I find writing something like this- where I have to describe my strengths to be difficult. I am much more comfortable letting my play and contributions on the field speak for itself. While I pride myself on being a team player, I am vocal on the field and strive to motivate my teammates so that the whole team thrives.  

I currently play on several soccer teams for multiple coaches- my club team is Morris Elite and I also play for a USL Academy team associated with Morris Elite (on both of these teams, I play attacking center mid).  My club team was undefeated in the Spring and we won our division. I am currently also playing for a pre-professional W-League team associated with Morris Elite where I get to play with various top college women's soccer players- many of who play for D1 programs (on this team, I play where needed but have been playing throughout the midfield). In the Fall, I also play for the varsity soccer team at Chatham High School in New Jersey (on this team, I primarily play striker)- we won the county tournament and also made the state semifinals. I ran varsity track as a sprinter in my freshman and sophomore years- and was a part of relay teams that made nationals in each year.

I maintain a 4.2 GPA and am a dedicated student but soccer is my passion. I'm undecided in terms of major but looking for a strong Liberal Arts School that offers programs in either Sports medicine, Exercise Science/Kinesiology/Nutrition or Sports Psychology. I am also passionate about drawing/art and graphic design. What I am looking for the most in a school is, that it is somewhere that I will be challenged both athletically and academically and also have the opportunity to continue to grow both on and off the field as a player and a person.
