Hannah McHugh '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Hannah McHugh and I am a junior at Holy Cross Academy in Delran, New Jersey.   I have been playing soccer for 10+ years and would love to continue playing at the collegiate level.   Along with my mental and physical toughness, what separates me is the speed of my first step and the ability to anticipate the play to win every 50/50 ball.   As an outside defender, my quickness has allowed me to excel at making the outside runs creating additional offense and scoring opportunities.

I am a 3 sport athlete who also plays basketball (1st team all conference this season) and I run track.  Sports have taught me that the sum is greater than the parts.    Teamwork, communication and working together are all positive attributes that not only apply on the fields, but in life as well.

Ever since I was little it has been my dream to play in college.  As an honor student, I would like to continue to excel both in the classroom and on the field as I  pursue a business degree while playing college soccer.  Soccer, along with my parents have shaped the person that I am today, without them I am not quite sure what I would do.  They have taught me that work ethic, motivation and drive are the keys to succeed in life and I take pride in the person I have grown into.
