I am a 5’11” center defender from Madison, NJ. I am a starter on the Madison High School varsity soccer team and earned First Team, All-Conference and First Team, All-County two seasons in a row. I have played club-level soccer for the last nine years and am the starting center defender for STA in the Girls Academy league. My main strengths on the field are my speed, my strength in the air, my mental and physical strength in general, and my tenacity.
I have a 4.82 GPA and am an all-honors and AP student. I am particularly strong in math and science; in fact my freshman year I took AP Physics as a self-study course and passed the AP exam with a score of 4. I am an avid chess player and a member of my high school’s chess club. In many ways, chess reminds me of my role as a center defender in soccer, where I am always anticipating my opponent’s next move and calculating how to defend or reposition based on their attack.
I am looking for a mid- to large-sized college where I can pursue a successful career both athletically and academically. I would ideally like a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of business as this subject interests me. I believe I can compete at the DI or DII level but am open to all options as I consider finding a strong academic school with the highest level of competition possible.
Thank you, Alexandra
