At the age of 4 I started playing soccer. At 8 I made my first travel team playing a year up. At 11 I made my first club team. When I was 13 I was told I wasn’t good enough to be on ODP. That was the first time I felt true rejection, but it was also when I learned that it’s how we react to rejection. I set goals for myself. I learned how to push myself to be, maybe not the best player, but better than I was the day before.
At this point, I’m looking to continue pushing myself at the next level. Women’s college soccer. I’d like to work towards building myself as a player physically and mentally, but also to help win a championship with teammates and coaches. I’ve developed a love for the game, and have really focused on being a student of the game. I feel my ability to study the game and my weaknesses and build upon them will benefit any college soccer program.
As a player I would say I have a strong stature to win the 50/50 balls in the defensive, and good technical ability to play keen passes out to build the offense.Around the net my creativity and finesse allows me to finish the ball. Off the field, I put a great effort into my academics, and look to attend a program with strong academics. I also enjoy being able to spend time and get to know people whose lives don’t revolve around soccer.
