Josie Wilson '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josie Wilson and I am committed to playing college soccer. I am extremely dedicated and highly motivated to be the best player I can be. I am looking for a collegiate program where I can make an immediate impact, and also grow as a player and as a student. Throughout High School, I have concentrated on two things: Soccer and Spanish. I want to continue to excel at both throughout my college years. I intend to Major in Spanish or Education, or a combination of the two. I'm especially interested in earning a Masters Degree in TESOL. Study abroad programs or volunteer missions abroad are also of interest to me. 
Being a defender, soccer doesn't bring me many goals, not too many "stats", but it does bring me a lot of personal gratification. I like nothing better than a shut out, I play 90 minutes determined not to let in a goal. I also take pride in playing simple, connecting my passes and keeping my self available to my teammates. My Club coach was a professional left back and is always"teaching me how to play the position". He has stressed "SOCCER IQ" above all. I love being a defender and I couldn't be more grateful for all he has taught me.
