I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. Since I first joined a team with boys my age, I never thought I would have the chance to play at the collegiate level because no other girl in New Brunswick dared to join a team with just boys. I knew that I would be judged but regardless of what people said my talent in playing soccer was an impact to people that they began to recognize me. Since that day up until today I know that I have the potential to do anything I set my mind to. Playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life for the future.
As captain of my high school team I am a team leader that sacrifices, doesn't give up and everyday at practices and games I try to lead my teammates with encouragement. I am very competitive and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find.
As far as education, I work hard in every single one of my classes to maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at every community service my academic coach provides to me. I have great amount of hours completed and I am also a club member of the National Art Honors Society in my school.
I want to attend a college where I can strive to keep my education and sport going. I want to be able to push myself everyday in the classroom, on the field and work hard to become successful. I hope to become a successful and a great role model to all my peers who believe in me and most importantly to make my parents and family proud because they are the reason why I don't give up but strive everyday to achieve my dream.
