Hi my name is Olivia Smith and I am currently a Junior at Rutherford Highschool. I have been playing soccer since I was 7 and felt that it was a passion of mine right when I stepped onto the field. I obviously started to play soccer because it was enjoyable, but started to take it seriously when I transitioned from playing town soccer to club. I realized that I wanted to continue my athletic career beyond high school and want to play at the college level. On and off the field I try improve my skills to develop as a player. Soccer has been one of my biggest commitments, but I also find my education to be a big commitment as well. I try to take hard classes that will balance with soccer, but also push myself to not just be an average student. When I first started to play club soccer, I really didn't know what position I was good at until I was placed as a defender. I currently play for the club team NESA and play center back. I try my best to lead my team not just by words, but my play style and work to not let my team down. During the high school season I play center-attacking mid, so I have knowledge of how to work the offense and defensive. I hope to find a college that fits right for me so I can grow as a player and also be a great asset for a high level team.
