My name is Alessandra Lorito, and I am a part of the graduating class of 2025 at Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton, NJ. I’m a very determined and hard-working individual when it comes to my academic studies and athletics, where I put loads of effort into both aspects. I am very interested in continuing my soccer career while attending college as my ultimate academic goal is to graduate with a bachelor's degree in sports management which I will use to be a sports commentator. Recently, I’ve switched teams from an Elite Soccer Development Program club team to a USYS club team. The reason I switched teams was because I played for two years, and the team had to end due to the fact everyone was on their journey to start college. With that team we were state cup champs back-to-back and made it to be finalists in the Eastern Regional tournament. Since then, I’ve come to understand I have high standards for the level of play I wish to continue in college which is very competitive and willing to push me to be a better athlete.
I am a starting varsity player for my high school team that I’ve been very grateful to have been since my freshman year which led me to receiving the award for Tri-Country Second Team All-Conference my freshman year for my forward position. My sophomore year I unfortunately partially tore my MCL during the second game of the season. Being out showed me how bad I missed playing and helped me realize what a passionate player I am. After coming back off my injury I never take advantage of a game and play every game like it’s my last. I want to apply the passion I have on the field in college along with a team of players with the same goals as me.
As a player I am very versatile with positions along with using both my left and right foot to play. My main position is center attacking midfielder, but I am also very confident at playing center back. In addition to athletics, my academics are a top priority. I finish every school year with all A’s, while taking advanced and honors classes, and being a part of the National Honor Society along with the Math Honor Society. The focus I have placed on academics and athletics continue to help me work towards accomplishing all my goals. I look forward to learning more about your academic programs, athletic programs and school environment, in hopes that we will be a good fit.
