When I was in 3rd grade my rec soccer coach started a travel team. I became a starter on defense for the Spotswood Storm and my love for soccer began. I have won championships and lost games in the playoffs, I enjoy the wins, learn from the losses, I moved on from the Spotswood Storm to the Sayreville Lightning and helped them to both tournament and season championships. My ability to quickly fall in with a new team and learn to read my teammates both on and off the field has helped me be successful over the years.
New Jersey is a tough place to play soccer, the girls are fast and tough and we take pride in that. The gym I belong to is called Jersey Strong, but I never knew what that really meant until I was 11 years old and my dad sat my brothers and I down to tell us that my mother was diagnosed with throat cancer. I watched my mother go through 6 weeks of radiation treatment and 6 months of not being able to speak or eat, but she never missed a day of work or any of our games. In August of 2020 she passed the 4 year mark of being cancer free. My mother showed me what it looks like to never give up, always keep fighting, and most of all stay positive. I am confident that I have the skills both on the field and off to be a successful student athlete at the college level.
