I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and I have always loved being active. Now as a senior, I've learned a lot about myself through four years of varsity soccer. Being one of the smallest on my team, I've had to work to overcome many obstacles. I've learned to play quick and smart when taking on larger opponents, and in the off-season I'm in the gym. I eat carefully so that I can put on weight to be able to compete against bigger and older girls. This taught me dedication and perseverance.
Before I started my high school soccer career, I played on a boys team for 5 years. Not only did I play alongside them, but I was the captain of my team. I learned to value teamwork and leadership.
My first academic goal for high school is to maintain a 4.0 GPA. My other goal is to take dual credit classes and prepare myself for college. In college I want to study biology and I aspire to obtain a master's degree.
