Maki Pine '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Maki Pine and I have always wanted to play at the high-level program at collegiate level with great coaches and staff with a commitment to win. I feel like I can bring that to a team.

I am a striker who plays on the front foot, and always attacking forward toward the goal. I like to shoot distance. I have a cannon of a right foot and love to take corner kicks from either side of the field as well as free kicks. I can also serve the ball into dangerous areas with zip on the ball and as well as from distance. When I am a winger I play with pace. I take on players and beat them off the dribble, then I make long passes with a vision to create quality scoring opportunities for my teammates. I am known for winning the ball back for the team even if I have to take a knock during the process. Most of all, I have been told that I am a very coachable player with versatility.

I have been a starter since freshman year and been on varsity for all my 3 years in high school. Our team won the Section title this season for the first time in 22 years, and I was one of the key players in goals, assists and defense.

I have played since I was 5, and since then I have always been a driven and positive light on the field. Soccer is my life and I have always been a hard worker, training on my own, going to camps, asking for extra training, staying after practice to do more on my own.

I hope I can show you how much that has paid off. I think the collegiate level is a perfect fit for me as I love fast speed of play, combinations, and most importantly having that family bond that carries off the field as well. I am so pumped to start finding the college I belong to and I also look forward to talking more to you about my journey and how I can hopefully become a part of yours.
