Josetiarainnah Olaco '22 Recruiting Profile

I have committed to Southeast Missouri State University for the 2022 season. I am in the transfer portal looking for a new path to succeed in. 

Hello, my name is Josetiarainnah Lu Olaco. I am a senior at Halifax Grammar School. I’ve played soccer for the past 7 years and this is something I’m extremely passionate about.

I am driven to succeed. I am an athletic, physical attacker with the nature to take criticism and use it to my advantage to become the best teammate and individual player I can be. In every practice and game, I like to think of it to be my last and so I give my 110%. On the field, I encourage my teammates and lead by example. I am willing to get outside of my comfort zone and play other positions to benefit the team. I have been recognized by coaches for my creativity with the ball, my unsurpassed work ethic, and my commitment to do what is necessary to better myself and my team on and off the field. 

 I train every day, watch games and analyze game strategies to improve my IQ.  Even with this commitment to soccer, I am able to balance it with school and other sports. I use other sports to keep me in shape and to use different muscles in my body to improve my athleticism.  I have been to 3 different schools in my life; Halifax Christian Academy (10 years), Munro Academy (8th grade), and Halifax Grammar School (Junior & Senior years). I have been awarded female athlete of the year for 3 consecutive years and was on the Principals' list. I moved to Halifax Grammar School for their IB program because I wanted the best education in preparation for university.

I desire to play college soccer at the highest level possible that holds high academic standards. I am looking for a university that supports and challenges me both academically and athletically.  I wish to accomplish my goals of playing professionally while mastering what it takes to become an orthopedic surgeon.
