Personal Statement

Feb 24, 2021 - Thanks to all the great programs and coaches that have reached out over the years and the great offers.  It has been a great journey, but I am excited to announce my commitment to St. Xavier University, and Coach Krause who has been patient and great through the process.  I am excited to learn more about my new teammates, and help this team grow to new heights.  Also a huge thanks to Coach Denny Ciornei @ Ciornei Goalkeeping Academy who has boundless energy, advice, and the greatest training to bring out the best in all of us and to push us to be great!

Thanks - Morgan Demagall 21' Keeper

I really hope that my choice and time in college is an opportunity for me to grow as an athlete and a person.  Throughout my life I feel like my driving factor has been myself.  I have had and still have some great coaches who have helped mentor me along the way.  I always appreciate everything they do, but my drive is something that is my personal goal to just be the best I can at soccer, basketball, and really all I do.  Off the field, I am learning that I enjoy working with elderly and would enjoy working in the medical field.  Have lots of that experience around me as my mom is a nurse, my dad is a nurse and now in leadership roles, both grandmas are nurses so thinking I just come by it naturally.  From early on I enjoyed competition, and was drawn to be a keeper.  Playing tackle football when I was younger because I looked up to my brother and wanted to play what he was playing.  I believe it made me a stronger keeper as I loved the contact and loved the game.  #BrownsSuperBowl2021 - Updated new Coach to get us there :)

I want a program that will challenge me both athletically and academically.  I want to help a program win in a big way!  I would love to and have a drive to play in the NCAA tournament, and help my team win.  A connection with coaches, teammates, and a school are what I am looking for.  I want to find a place to call home for the next 4 years after high school.  I will conduct myself with integrity and respect for the program on and off the field.
