I am very goal oriented in every aspect of my life, especially in athletics and academics. I realize the commitment it takes to be successful and I like to work hard, I desire the challenge of achieving success. I know the impact losing and failing has on someone, but I also acknowledge that is what makes a winner...constantly facing obstacles and refusing to give up, always bettering yourself and those around you. Success is about putting my team above myself, team first always, but also being the best I can be for my team.
I sustained a torn ACL ON 5-13-18, had reconstructive surgery, 6-12-18 and was released back to play on 3-7-19. I played my first game on 3-9-19, and because I realized how grateful I was to be able to run again, I decided to pick up track for the first time in my life. It has been a challenge, and I am loving every minute of it! My coaches and teammates understand my drive, dedication and passion, and have been very supportive of my return to not only club soccer, but embracing me on this newfound journey with track. Coaches had me running the 400, 1:13 is my PR, but I am not satisfied with that, and will continue to train to get better for track season next Spring. Due to some unforeseen events, a new 4x800 relay member was needed, and my coaches asked me to run it. They wanted me to get around a 3:06, but I ran a 2:54 the first time, and last week I ran a 2:50 PR to help my relay team clench a League title 1st Place! I am slated to run the relay again this week for a District title, where I will endeavor for another PR, and hopefully another title. In addition to track, I am still embroiled with my club soccer season where I have assisted, scored and created plays. I am so grateful and thankful to be back to what I love, and to have found a new passion along the way!
